The annual festival of Food, Drink and Rhubarb was held in February 2017.
The festival showcased local food and drink providers and celebrated the district's unique tradition of rhubarb growing and its importance to the local economy, with an exciting mix of live cookery demonstrations, street entertainment, workshops and taster sessions.
This year award-winning celebrity chef, Jean-Christophe Novelli, joined the line-up, along with firm festival favourite Rachel Green - star of ITV Yorkshire’s Flying Cook and World on a Plate.
More than 40 stalls sold a variety of Rhubarb produce from bread, cupcakes, sausages and pies.
What we did
For the second year running we provided over 40 chalets for the annual Food, Drink and Rhubarb Festival held in Wakefield’s beautiful town centre. We even supplied one of our chalets to the current holder of the Apprentice crown, Alana Spencer, who was selling her delicious bakes!
